James K. Roosa

Mr. Roosa is a 1987 graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law (JD); a 1982 graduate of Yale University (MM); and a 1980 graduate of Oberlin college (BM).

 After 12 years of practice with a Fortune 500 corporation and two of Cleveland’s most prominent law firms, Mr. Roosa started Roosa Co., LPA in 2000 in order to focus on the needs of small and emerging businesses.

Mr. Roosa also serves as a mediator and arbitrator on behalf of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio as well as the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. 

Mr. Roosa is an adjunct professor at the Cleveland Marshall College of Law, where he teaches Corporations, Business Organizations, and Agency and Partnership. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Roosa volunteers his time to a variety of non-profit, community-based organizations in the Greater Cleveland area.

Support services, such as records retrieval, government filings, couriers, information technology, accounting, and financial analysis, are provided by a number of outside providers with whom the firm has formed strategic alliances.
